Events at this location

Scottish Country Dancing is held on Tuesdays from 6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Beginners will dance until 8:15 p.m., with intermediate dancers continuing until 8:50 p.m.

Now is a great time for beginners to join the class because we’ll be focusing on easy dances and reviewing figures and footwork for the first few classes. From September 22nd until October 13th we will host a beginner-focused period.

The cost is $10 cash at the door or $5 for those who join the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, and we’re dancing to live piano music! No partner or special dress required. Please wear soft-soled shoes or sneakers. Contact Katie Wood to join at katiemkwood@gmail.com and for details on relocation.

We are holding an eight-month deep dive into the Gospel of Matthew! This Bible Study will be led by Rev. Susan Brasier with occasional visiting teachers such as Dr. Ger Olegma (who just published a commentary on the Gospel of Matthew). Embedded within this study will be several “short courses.” For example, in October, we will offer a study on the Sermon on the Mount. We will spend January on the parables.

The Study is held in the Iona Room and is open to everyone. We usually start at 6:00 p.m. with a light meal. The study starts at 6:30 p.m. (Please note that on the third Wednesday of the month when we have the Taizé service, class will start immediately following the service). We conclude by 8:00 p.m. The study is offered hybrid. For questions, contact Rev. Susan at sbrasier@standrewstpaul.com
