On the day of the Ascension of the Lord, we are told that Jesus floated up into the heavens as his gobsmacked disciples gawked in awe. In the days that followed, his friends would come to understand a spirit of wisdom, revelation, and unity. A previously unimagined spirit of unity is possible because Christ is above all things — including any obstacles that now structure the world.
