Event Details

The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada invites you to come and sing at a public hymn festival on Tuesday, July 18th, at 7:30 p.m. at The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul!

This event, “A Celebration of French Language Song,” will be led by Michel Guimont, Director of Music at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Ottawa, along with organist Matthew Larkin, who is one of Canada’s most in-demand concert performers and liturgical musicians. As The Hymn Society gathers in Montréal, it extends a warm welcome to the local community to come and join in song.

This free public hymn festival is part of The Hymn Society’s Annual Conference, “Land, Language, and Liberation,” that is being held at McGill University. This year’s gathering has a uniquely Canadian focus, including plenary addresses, workshop presentations, and singing events related to the conference theme.
