Saturday, April 4th
On Holy Saturday, April 4th, YAM will host a walk up the mountain, leaving the church at 12:30 p.m. As we walk, we will pause along the way to read the psalms of ascent (Psalms 120-134). If you would like to participate, but think you might not be up to all that climbing, you may join the group starting at the Smith House at 2:00 p.m. and walk with us up to the cross. If you are interested in being part of this very “moving” worship service, please contact Rev. Brasier at sbrasier@standrewstpaul.com to register.
As Spring comes with muddy trails, don’t forget to wear good walking shoes. If possible, consider bringing a backpack to help carry some sandwiches and hymnals.

The Choir of The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul presents its annual choral vigil, in support of the Montreal Trans Patient Union and GRIS-Montréal. In the face of the rise in attacks on gender and sexual diversity around the world, the aim is to fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights through our music.
The A&P Choir will perform works by sexually and gender diverse composers like Francis Poulenc, Pax Ressler, Claude Vivier, and Jennifer Higdon. Of particular note on the programme is the world premiere of a work by two members of The A&P Choir, commissioned for the occasion. Rebecca Gray’s “They told me…” is an oratorio on texts by Patricia Yates and the composer herself, at turns moving, powerful, hilarious, and even absurd.
The evening will terminate with a mass choir performance of “Over the Rainbow,” featuring choirs from around Montreal joining as one to express the everlasting message of hope from this famous song! Join us for this musical celebration of the Queer Diaspora, and help us in supporting two wonderful local organizations.
70 % of the funds raised will be split between our two partner organizations.
GRIS-Montréal, which stands for Research and Social Intervention Group, is a non-profit community organization that demystifies sexual orientation and gender identity by sharing testimonies of lived experiences. We are a family of more than 250 volunteers working tirelessly to build a more open and accepting society.
The Montreal Trans Patients’ Union is an advocacy and mutual aid collective by and for trans and non-binary patients in Tio’tià:ke (colonially known as Montreal). We advocate for excellence in trans healthcare, create resources to help trans patients access care, and provide direct support to trans patients navigating the medical system.
