The Music Department, in conjunction with the Ministry Committee, invites you to a Lunch and Learn following the service on Sunday, April 19th.

Our guest presenters include representatives from the two organizations being supported by the Choir’s Vigil taking place later this Spring: the Montreal Trans Patient Union and GRIS-Montreal. Read more about these wonderful organizations below. We will also hear from Rebecca Gray and Patricia Yates about the fantastic piece they have written to be premiered at the Vigil.

GRIS-Montréal, which stands for Research and Social Intervention Group, is a non-profit community organization that demystifies sexual orientation and gender identity by sharing testimonies of lived experiences. GRIS is a family of more than 250 volunteers working tirelessly to build a more open and accepting society.

The Montreal Trans Patient Union is an advocacy and mutual aid collective by and for trans and non-binary patients in Tio’tià:ke (colonially known as Montreal). TPU advocates for excellence in trans healthcare, creates resources to help trans patients access care, and provides direct support to trans patients navigating the medical system.
