Sermon by The Rev. Dr. Glenn Chestnutt, “Hindsight is 20/20”

On the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus two disciples meet the resurrected Jesus but do not recognize him. It is only in the intimacy of sharing a meal that they recognize who they are dining with. But Jesus suddenly disappears in front of their eyes. Like those disciples, when we perceive God’s presence it can often be in fleeting moments, if at all. Join us at 11am on Sunday as we attempt to discern the Divine in our lives by treasuring both our individual and collective experiences of God retrospectively.
