For the month of May we are offering a four-week introduction to Christianity! These classes will be held on Friday evenings here at the church from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Session Room. This class will explore the basics of spirituality and religion. It is designed for doubters, seekers, the curious, and the committed. The approach is intended to be welcoming and non-judgmental.

May 16th: We will cover the “Historical Jesus” focusing on Jesus’ life and teachings. How was it that those early disciple came to understand Jesus as Christ? And finally, we will discuss the theological implications of Jesus’ life and teachings including, atonement theories, Grace and salvation, Redemption, Repentance, the Trinity, and the Sacraments.

May 23rd: Christian history and denominations

May 30th: What does it mean to be Presbyterian?

We will offer refreshments. After each session, the instructors will continue conversation informally at McKibbin’s Pub (“Theology on Tap”). Participants are welcome to join – or just come for the Theology on Tap starting about 8:15 p.m. You are welcome to come to one or all of the classes.
