This summer’s recital series will look a little bit different…

Because of repairs needed to our organ, we have postponed our Organ Intermezzi to next summer. In its place, we are happy to announce INTERMEZZI: REIMAGINED.

Audiences will have the chance to hear a variety of small ensembles at The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul on Thursdays in July and August, at 12:15 p.m. Check out the full list of performers here, and mark each date in your calendar!

Thursday, July 16th:

COMTESSA is an ensemble dedicated to performing and promoting music from before 1500. Rooted in both research and artistry, they bring this repertoire to life with creativity, authenticity, and a deep love for the music. In their Florilegium programme, Comtessa presents a collection of English Medieval songs following the life cycle of a flower.

SEI SOLO is an interdisciplinary collaboration involving performance, acoustics, recording and physiological states of absorption through Bach’s polyphonic writing for solo violin. SEI SOLO proposes both a live acoustic research element and a commercial immersive-audio recording of Bach’s Sonatas & Partitas while simultaneously measuring physiological absorption signals during live performance and recording.
